The first thing apparent to anyone who knows Brent Larson is his unbridled enthusiasm and passion for dirt racing. Brent’s love for motor sports was nurtured at an early age where a young Larson was a fixture at Minnesota and Wisconsin dirt tracks accompanying his ‘Late Model Champion’ father, Dennis Larson. As a teenager, Brent showed an interest in the mechanical aspects of racing while watching his father’s success on the race track got him yearning to get behind the wheel of his own racecar. At 16, the young racer with big aspirations found himself behind the wheel of his first racecar walking away with “Rookie of the Year” honors his first season and winning a ‘Track Championship’ in the ‘Super Stock’ Division the following season. 

Over the past decade Larson has accumulated an impressive list of racing accomplishments including numerous Track Championships in multiple classes with over 60 Feature Wins to his credit.  Of all his accomplishments, when asked which are most memorable, Larson describes the past season as the most memorable and rewarding. “We fought tooth and nail, down to the wire, to the very last race, needing a feature win to earn a one point margin of victory. Without a doubt, our team winning the DTRA Championship was one of the most rewarding accomplishments of my racing career.”

The Larson family currently resides in beautiful Lake Elmo, Minnesota. At home, Brent’s passion is for and his family, where he and wife Nena are the proud parents of Madeline 7, and potential future racer Matthew, age 4.

2007 DTRA Champion Larson is owner and lead fabricator at QFI, Quality Fabrication Incorporated.  QFI is a custom sheet metal fabricator producing an array of racing components including stock car bodies, cabinetry, and industrial components.  In his leisure time Brent enjoys the company of friends and family and is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys a variety of spectator sports including football and hockey.

In light of all his success, you might think Brent would be a hard guy to find. Not the case, at the completion of any given race, win, lose or draw, it’s easy to spot the outgoing Larson, his wife and family. They can usually be found in the pits serving up pizza and talking with race fans, crew members, and friends until the early morning hours....it’s the Larson family way.
